You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Your First Visit to Our Seattle Practice

New practice members often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

Your first visit is all about you. I will be all ears and listen to what is important to you. Our goal, to guide YOU where YOU want your health to go.

You will be greeted warmly by our staff members, who will take you through the welcome package. This package will include in-depth questions about you and your health. There will also be in-depth questionnaire on what makes you tick. After completing this initial paperwork, you and I will then go through your answers together and make additions if needed.

At this point it's evaluation time, should you choose to proceed with chiropractic care. I will take you through our chiropractic evaluation procedure to gather as much information as possible about how your body is really working. During this evaluation, we will be using the latest technology to assess where your health sits, including Surface EMG, Infrared Scanning, Range of Motion testing, Cardiac Pulse Wave Profiler and Algometry.

Once the assessment is complete we will then schedule you for your Recommendations for Care visit, which is where we discuss your results, your goals and how to reach them. I will encourage you to bring your spouse or a loved one to this visit as it is important to have a support network around you. That's it! Typically, this appointment is about 45 minutes.

Dr. Penaluna Asks some important questions of interest to Seattle residents - Chiropractor Seattle Dr. Penaluna Asks...

Do chiropractors prescribe medications for the pain?
No. Chiropractic is a drug-free approach to better health. Instead, we rely on natural methods. We can show you how to use ice to control pain. When properly applied, ice can have an analgesic effect without the unwanted and sometimes dangerous effects of pain medications.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Seattle parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
